EPRPS on Trove

An ever-increasing number of items from the EPRPS Archives are now available on Trove, the National Library's free online service which is accessible from anywhere worldwide. These items include a selection of photographs, maps and diagrams from our Archives. You can search specifically for EPRPS items by clicking on this link.

Tips for searching EPRPS items on Trove

When you click on the link you will see an initial search result, as shown in this screen grab. Click on Advanced Search and select Images, Maps and Artefacts from the list. All EPRPS items are under this category.

On the next screen you can enter specific terms you would like to search. Leave the Keyword field unaltered (this limits the search to EPRPS items). The Title field can be searched for anything in the description of each item. This example will return any items where the location of Maltee is mentioned. Click on the green 'search' icon to begin the search.

The results of this search will be displayed, and you can look in further detail at any of the search results. Click on Show advanced search to return to the search options search.

Back at Advanced Search, another handy option is the Subject field. Possibilities here include:
Eyre Peninsula Railways
Eyre Peninsula Railways - locomotives
Eyre Peninsula Railways - railcars
Eyre Peninsula Railways - rolling stock
Eyre Peninsula Railways - stations
Eyre Peninsula Railways - personnel
Eyre Peninsula Railways - gradient diagrams
Eyre Peninsula jetties
Again, click on the green 'search' icon to begin the search.

The results of this search will be displayed, and again you can look in further detail at any of the search results.

Many images include date ranges (decades) or years. Scrolling down towards the bottom of the screen will reveal a Refine Your Results section. Here you will find decade options and/or year options, if these are found in the images returned by the search. Select the one you want, and the search results will automatically update.
